The business already works. We help it work without you holding it together.

Fixed-fee reviews for established Perth businesses. We find the hours you can’t see and the revenue you’re not capturing.

What we believe

The business owner is the genius.

The economy runs on businesses that never make headlines. The tradesperson who turns up on time. The accountant who catches the mistake before it costs you. The business trusted by the same customers for years, not because of a pitch deck, but because it just works.

Running a business like that is the hard part, and it’s the part we can’t do. What we do is translation: taking expertise that already lives in your head and your team’s habits, and encoding it into systems the business itself owns, so it keeps working when you’re on holiday, when you step back, and when you one day hand it on.

The two reviews

One starts with what you’re spending. The other with what you’re earning.

The Hidden Hours Audit

For owners feeling the time and cost pain.

  • Fixed fee
  • ~2–3 weeks
  • Perth-based

Best for

Established teams where hours keep disappearing into manual handling, duplication and double-entry, and the owner suspects the tools they’re already paying for could be doing more of the work.

What’s included

  • One core workflow mapped end to end.
  • Interviews with the people actually doing the work, not just the owner’s view.
  • Where time and money leak, and an honest read on where automation helps, and where it doesn’t.
  • A ranked list, payoff versus effort, with a clear ‘start here.’

What it isn’t

Not a compliance audit, and not a sales pitch dressed up as a report.

The Hidden Revenue Review

For owners whose revenue engine still runs through their head.

  • Fixed fee
  • ~2–3 weeks
  • Succession-friendly

Best for

Owners thinking about the next ten years, stepping back, handing on, or eventually selling, who need revenue that doesn’t depend on them personally being in the room.

What’s included

  • The revenue journey mapped: enquiry → quote → follow-up → close → repeat → referral.
  • A parallel map of where the business depends on you personally.
  • Where revenue leaks: cold quotes, slow response, un-asked referrals, lapsed customers, reflexive discounts.
  • A ranked list, payoff versus effort, explicit about where a system can carry the load and where a human must stay human.

What it isn’t

Not lead gen, not marketing. You already generate the demand and the trust. That part we can’t do.

Start with whichever fits. We don’t bundle the two, and any build afterwards is scoped and quoted on its own, never rolled into the review fee.

How it works

  1. One. A conversation. You tell us how the business actually works.
  2. Two. A short paid review. Interviews, one process or the revenue journey mapped, a ranked report.
  3. Three. Then it’s your call. Fix things yourself, stop there, or have a build scoped separately.

Why us

This started as a real brief, not a product idea.

The Hidden Hours Audit began as a paid engagement for a Perth accounting firm. They didn’t need help finding clients. They needed to know exactly where time was leaking in one core process, ranked by payoff, effort and risk.

That’s the actual work. Building an automation is the fast part; anyone motivated can learn the tools. The slow part is years of selling, growing and closing, knowing which fix pays off first, and whether your team will actually use it.

Who you're working with

Thomas Ims

Thomas Ims, founding partner at Unsung & Co.

Founding partner · Perth, Western Australia

Thomas has spent his career on the operator’s side of the desk, selling, growing and closing the kind of businesses this work supports. Not a technologist by training; a business person who picked up the tools once they finally became useful.

He runs every engagement personally, from first conversation to last finding. No account managers, no handoffs.

The bench behind him

A small Perth-based team of engineers, ex-founders and operators he’s worked with for years, brought in only where the work calls for it. You’ll always know who’s in the room and why.

Speaking

A short, genuinely useful talk on where businesses lose hidden hours, and what happens to revenue the day the owner isn’t there. No pitch from the stage; a framework the room can use the same week.

Questions

Straight answers.

  • Established Perth businesses that already have customers, trust and a team: trades, clinics, professional services, agencies. The common thread isn't the industry, it's the situation. The work is good, the demand is there, but too much of it still runs through one person's head or eats hours nobody can account for. If you're a startup still hunting for your first customers, we're honestly not the right fit. This is for businesses that already work.
